OGC Scholarship Program

The OGC (Old Guy’s Club) scholarship is made possible through the generosity and foresight of four veteran off-road riders.  This scholarship provides for the recipient to attend the Dakota 600 and covers all on-site fees for the Dakota 600.  The value of this scholarship is $1795.  The Dakota 600 Dirt Scholarship Program is about recognizing younger riders who understand the importance of personal responsibility, the work necessary to create and preserve off-road motorcycle trails and the need to project a positive image of off-road riding.

                                                                  Dirt Pledge

I believe that I have won the greatest lottery of all time.  I am alive and free to walk the earth.  I live in America.  Above all I am grateful.
I believe I am entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  Nothing more.  I also understand that “happiness” and “pursuit of happiness” are not the same thing.
I believe that safety is my responsibility.  I will use and wear full safety gear every time I ride.
I will work to create and preserve motorcycle trails for the enjoyment of all riders.
I will ride responsibly and never put others at risk.
I will tread lightly.  If riding conditions may cause damage to trails, I will not ride them.
I will encourage others to ride responsibly and speak out when I see others causing harm.
I believe that I am a product of my choices, not my circumstances.  I will never blame anyone for my shortcomings or the challenges I face.

On my honor, I hereby affirm the above statements to be an accurate representation of my personal worldview.  I promise to live by them.
